That was REBUILD 2026
REBUILD 2026 closed its doors last Thursday, 26 March, cementing industrialised construction as the country’s new economic driver, where opportunities for business and social improvement are emerging. As a result, a total of 32,487 construction professionals gathered at the event from Wednesday to Friday to discover the industrialised, sustainable and technological innovations of the 758 exhibiting companies present at REBUILD. Together, they showcased 2,417 solutions for interiors, kitchens and bathrooms, and in categories such as lighting, enclosures, flooring and surfaces, façades, energy efficiency, air conditioning, home automation, digital solutions and BIM, or industrialised construction systems in 2D or 3D, amongst others.
Our partners include AEDAS HOMES, Aldes, Bariperfil, Baxi, Bilba, Blansol, BMI, Ceranor, Componentes y Unidades, Danosa, Deloitte, Eurecat, Fassa Bortolo, Finsa, Grup PMP, Grupo Alumed, Grupo Lobe, Grupo Puma, Estil Guru, Holcim, KONE, La Escandella, Lignum Tech, Mapei, Mitsubishi Electric, Molins, Multipanel, Persycom, Pladur, Revestech, Riwega, Rodacal Beyem, Saint-Gobain, Saltoki Offsite, Samsung, Siber, Sika, Sodeca, S&P, Tabihaus, Thermochip, Viguetas Navarras, Zehnder and Zennio, who opened their doors to us so we could discover their latest solutions and innovations in new construction.

REBUILD 2026 brought together 732 experts from around the world at the Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 Congress, including Benedetta Tagliabue, Julen Pérez of Waugh Thistleton Architects, Alessia Galimberti, Juan Coll-Barreu, Lapo Naldoni of Mario Cucinella Architects, Iñigo Ortíz Diez de Tortosa of Ortiz León Arquitectos, Luigi Centola of Centola & Associati, David Sierra of Metrovacesa, Anna Guanter of Culmia, Iñaki Alonso of saTT, José de Pedro of Distrito Natural, Cristina Criado of Ruiz Larrea, Adrán San José of Grupo Construcia, Álvaro Osborne of Gesteco Constructores, Martín Lejarraga, and Lucas Galán of Neinor Homes, amongst others, who have steered the future of construction towards a more industrialised, circular, digitalised sector that is adapted to its environment and prioritises the well-being of users. In this regard, the main conclusion has been the shift towards industrialisation, which stands as a response to the current challenges of a lack of affordable housing, high environmental impact, and a shortage of talent.

As part of REBUILD 2026, the Advanced Architecture Awards were held, a gathering designed to recognise the work, leadership and efforts of those companies and professionals committed to transformation, disruption and innovation. Furthermore, as part of our programme of activities, we also hosted the Construction Tech Startup Forum, an event that brings together the future leaders of the construction industry through start-ups that are surprising the world with innovative and disruptive solutions, capable of transforming the sector through advanced technology or by proposing new business models.

REBUILD 2026 was honoured to have Italy as its Guest Country Partner, consolidating its role as a European leader in innovation, sustainability and the transformation of the construction sector. Following its first participation in 2024, Italy returns with a stronger presence to showcase the strength of its business ecosystem, its commitment to energy efficiency and digitalisation, as well as its excellence in architectural design and urban regeneration. Its participation fosters new opportunities for cooperation between Spain and Italy, promoting the development of joint projects and the exchange of specialist knowledge in advanced construction.
The Region of Murcia also played an active role as a “Guest Innovation Region”, a distinction that highlights its pioneering model in public housing, sustainability and construction innovation. It has established itself as a national benchmark thanks to its firm commitment to industrialisation, energy efficiency and public-private partnerships in the construction sector.
