The Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism is the place of reflection on the conciliation capacities that architecture and urbanism can have with respect to the two territorial realities that exist in the country; that of a dense, dynamic and populated Spain and that of another with less density, more unchanged and uninhabited that forms a country that is within another. From the architectures, urban strategies and territorial proposals raised, Óscar Miguel Ares offers a panorama of broad responses to very specific issues. Should a residence for old age in empty Spain be considered in the same way that in full? How should we raise the challenges around housing in both contexts? What should our response be in terms of public space? The most laureate architect in the innovative region invited to Rebuild 2024, Castilla y León, will respond having been one of its directors.
