Catedrático de Universidad en el área de Mecánica de los Medios Continuos y Teoría de Estructuras en el Departamento de Ingeniería Civil de la UA, donde es investigador responsable del “Grupo de Simulación, Modelización y Ensayo de Estructuras”. Actualmente es Vicerrector de Infraestructuras, Sostenibilidad y Seguridad Laboral. Es Dr. Ingeniero Industrial por la UPV. Su actividad investigadora se ha centrado en el comportamiento dinámico de estructuras y en el refuerzo estructural.
