Valentina Maini is an architect trained at IUAV Venice, active in Catalonia since 2000. She integrates practice, research, and teaching in vernacular architecture and low-carbon construction, and has participated in European training and innovation projects. She is General Coordinator and President of the Straw Bale Construction Network, co-founded in 2009, and member of the drafting committee of the Spanish UNE Standard on straw bale construction.
