In the footsteps of Josep Lluís Sert and Rafael Moneo, Iñaki Ábalos was director of the Graduate School of Design (GSD), the architecture department of Harvard University. Iñaki Ábalos lives between Madrid and Cambridge, in Massachusetts, but he has a home in the Canary Islands and builds in China. With his partner, the Polish Renata Sentkiewicz, he built a Museum of Contemporary Art in Zhuhai (in southern China, next to Macao), and not far from there, in Guangzhou, he designed a university island, a campus dedicated to research.

But as he considers himself more an architect of a time than of a place, Iñaki Ábalos will tell us why Technique and Architecture are now more united than ever. Or perhaps more dissociated than ever?
