What does it take to “scale living”? What do big cities really need in terms of living, and are they capable of balancing growing demand and the need for new offer in different niches of living? In new-build homes and in refurbished buildings? What about affordable housing and new models, such as co-living?

This session aims to share views on what residential concepts are being scaled effectively in Europe and in Spain and discuss the key challenges and innovations in construction technology that are being harnessed to drive scalability today, and tomorrow—with a holistic view from those who are transforming the landscape: investors, public administrations, homebuilders and proptech.

ULI Spain Chair Alberto Valls will host a conversation with 4 leaders in the residential sector who will share their views, examples and experiences and will also explain how effectively scaling living ties into the mission of the Urban Land Institute: to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.
