The Near Zero Energy Industrailized Social Housing Building (nZEISHB) project, an initiative launched by the Andalusian Housing and Rehabilitation Agency (AVRA) to find an industrialised system for low energy consumption multi-family subsidised housing, has now been given the green light after a committee of experts analysed the viability of the project through the Preliminary Market Consultation.

Promoting an action that allows for the application of the new guidelines included in the Technical Building Code (CTE), once it has been adapted to the new EU regulations on energy efficiency, savings and sustainability to combat climate change, must allow for almost zero energy consumption in newly constructed buildings.

This requires solutions that involve industrialised construction and the capabilities of artificial intelligence and information and communication technologies. The nZEISHB expert system should provide designers and planners, as well as those responsible for building, with solutions for integrating modular, industrialised building schemes, patterns and models into the design and project stage to achieve almost zero energy consumption once the homes have been built.

Should we multiply these platforms to be used by all the autonomous communities in Spain?
