Albert Kahn, an incredibly fascinating architect who was Henry Ford’s architect and author of his industrial buildings – designed to take the concept of assembly line manufacturing to the extreme – said that architecture is 98% construction and 2% art. On the doorstep of a new era, architecture is more than ever linked to construction and its industrialisation. The electrification of the automobile will change our streets and cities, and our homes will be more manufactured than built.
