The double aspect of PPI-Innovative Public Procurement, both for the purchase of innovative solutions and for the innovation in the tendering process, makes it extremely interesting.

And this session will put it into context.

At European and international level, in Recital 47 of the Directive 2014/24/EU and General Assembly of the United Nations entitled «»Transforming our world: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development»» adopted on 25 September 2015 by 109 countries, including Spain, the 17 goals that make up the adopted programme appear. Article 9, entitled «»Build resilient infrastructures, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation»» defines its adequacy.

Meanwhile, at the national level, Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation, in its Article 44, Priority axes of the State Innovation Plan, explicitly states: (…)3. Public procurement of innovative activities will be promoted, with the aim of aligning private technological supply and public demand, through actions in cooperation with the Autonomous Communities and Local Entities.

Therefore, we must promote it and in this session we are going to see how to introduce it easily.
