Architecture firms: The new paradigm of the sector
Architecture, in a traditional way, has been author. Business management has often been ignored, mainly promoting the artistic and creative side. As architects, most of our clients are companies and they see us as weak: many architects are self-employed, architecture studios are small and very small, we don’t know how to sell, negotiate, we don’t control the hours. And we like architecture so much that we confuse hobby with profession; In short, the sector lacks business tools and even more so when we are faced with the economic sustainability of architecture firms, a cornerstone of the process. Fortunately, there are many success stories of architecture studios, hidden champions, which have been able to transform themselves into architecture companies. In this session we want to share with the attendees the key factors that make this new paradigm possible and, above all, show some of the protagonists of this change who will explain how they have achieved it.
