To determine the historical sequence of a building, define its structures, characterize the materials and finishes, and determine the pathologies that affect it, it is necessary to activate an interdisciplinary analysis process that integrates, among other professional profiles, geologists, architects, engineers, archaeologists, restorers and historians. The efficient coordination of these activities makes it possible to share the analysis processes and the data obtained in this regard, organize the workflows and improve the management of deliverables. And all thanks to BIM. Spain is the second country in the world and the first in Europe with the largest number of properties inscribed on UNESCO’s heritage lists. We must be attentive to the most advanced methodologies to manage our built cultural heritage.
