The current situation of new wood supply (high costs and shortage) is redistributing the cards of the wood market and working with reclaimed wood is no longer only an eco-friendly obvious choice, but also an economical one. Indeed, if before, we had a fragile balance between the decrease of the production costs thanks to technology and the increases of the wood costs related to the labor necessary to the recuperation and the preparation of the reclaimed wood. It now appears that in our business, 8 times out of 10, reclaim is more profitable than new wood, for an equivalent quality. This is also due to the experience we are gaining and the economies of scale we are starting to make. The other advantage of this strategy of digitizing the production and use of reclaimed wood is that it allows us to develop a local and profitable production ecosystem as well as a local wood supply. Which brings jobs and more partnerships.
